A Day in Charleston, SC - Summer 2016

This time around, I decided to Road trip up to Baltimore along with my mom who was willing to help out. Apart from the long hours of car time, it was a good trip up! We had a quick dinner stop in Savannah, GA at a place called The Grey. It used to be a Greyhound bus stop, which has now been polished and revamped to its Art Deco luster. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere takes you to back to the 1920's Art Deco with an industrial twist, mood lighting, and patterned walls. It's a great place to dine if you're looking for a different feel.

More on The Grey

The next day we woke up in historic Charleston that was boasting with the University of Charleston students! That morning, we visited the beautiful and scenic Middleton Place. It is a rice plantation with beautiful gardens that dates back to the 1700's. We had lunch at Fleet Landing, which is a restaurant that overlooks the water, and later walked the markets and on King St. We could not leave Charleston the day after without a stop at the pineapple fountain and a look at the beautiful houses.
